The First International Youth Martial Arts Camp

For 6 days from August 16 to 21, 2017, the First International Youth Martial Arts Camp was held at Chungju Youth Training Center. The event hosted 109 participants from the six countries of Uzbekistan, Viet Nam, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Korea for various leadership and group activities such as practice sessions of world martial arts and a mini martial arts Olympics. All participants responded that they would like to come to the camp again next year, and some of them continue to keep in touch with the other participants through email even after the camp has finished. The camp was designed to promote youth development through martial arts and enhance the awareness of leadership and community spirit, and the human network created through the event will be utilized in the management of an international youth organization of martial arts in the future.
