The 4th World Scientific Congress of Combat Sports and Martial Arts and the 7th IMACSSS(International Martial Arts and Combat Sports Scientific Society) International Conference was held from October 17th to 19th at the University of Rzeszow, Poland. IMACSSS is an international scientific association established in 2010 for the study and research of martial arts, combat systems, and related sports, which brings together practitioners, experts and academics from around the world. IMACSSS aims to support academic research on diverse aspects of combat sports, martial arts and self-defense. The ultimate goal is to expand the scientific knowledge on the use of combative activities in physical education and sport. IMACSSS is thematically divided into eight divisions:

2) History

3) Pedagogy

4) Philosophy

5) Science & Logic of Combat

6) Sociology & Anthropology

7) Kinesiology

8) Psychology 

With presentations about diverse combat sports and martial arts on academic levels, this year's conference also consisted of thematic sessions about kinesiology, psychology of sport, and social issues, and displayed, at the venue, scientific posters by academia and experts. Workshops and show of martial arts allowed participants to further engage in, interact with, and experience combat sports and martial arts adding vibrancy to the programmes.
