The first ordinary session of the 2019 Korean Advisory Group meeting was held on February 22 with participation of scholars and experts from diverse fields. The meeting was aimed at strengthening ICM's contribution in UNESCO’s mission and re-examining its project implementation. For experts outside of Korea, ICM has organized a pool of experts, namely the Special Advisory Group.


 


ICM held its first ordinary session of the 2019 Korean Advisory Group meeting at Chungju City Hall on February 22. The meeting was aimed to strengthening ICM's contribution in UNESCO’s mission towards establishing peace and prosperity through international cooperation, and developing ICM's functions and objectives by re-examining its project implementation from the stage of designing to evaluation with participation of scholars and experts from fields such as international cooperation, law, youth, sport and social and human sciences.


The 2019 Korean advisory members are as follows; KANG Kyungsook, professor of the Wonkwang University, KWAK Nakhyun, researcher at the Academy of Korean Studies, KIM Eunyoung, the director of the Sciences & Youth Division of the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, KIM Euihwan, emeritus professor at Yong In University, NOH Daeyoung, the manager of Civil Society Partnership Department of KOICA, PARK Joohee, director general of the International Sport Strategy Foundation, CHOI Heejung, the attorney at law at Jeongyul LLC, CHO Hyunjoo, the researcher at Korea Institute of Sport Science, HAN Kyungkoo, professor at Seoul National University and HAN Geonsoo, professor at Kangwon National University.



For experts outside of Korea, ICM has organized a pool of experts, namely the Special Advisory Group. A list of the group is available upon those who have agreed in sharing their information online(Click to see). Five members (Carlos Gutierrez Garcia, Dean Dudley, Douglas Gleddie, Ernest Edmond, Jackie Lauff) from the group have participated in an online Periodic Session from February 8 to March 8, and advised about ways to improve ICM’s periodicals. Other members of the group participate in non-periodic sessions regarding ICM’s projects, and provide material related to marital arts, sports, and youth, thereby contributing in collection and dissemination of records and materials that are related to martial arts.
