ICM is planning to form and operate 2019 UNESCO ICM Martial Arts Demonstration Team with the purpose of sharing values of martial arts together with the general public and further enhance its awareness. The Demonstration Team, which is planned to consist of 20 members from in and out of Korea, will make a tour of major cities nationwide providing special performances and street demonstrations. They will also conduct different experience programmes and events for the audience.
Through these demonstration events and shows, the Centre aims to introduce a wide range of martial arts from different countries, encourage people to have a right perception and understanding of martial arts, and convey messages of peace and reconciliation that live up to the ideals of the UNESCO, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the popularisation and globalisation of martial arts.
