The fifth volume of ICM Insight, Quality Martial Arts Education was published in 3rd December 2021.

By adopting the concept of Quality Physical Education into the world of martial arts, this volume aims to share ways to enhance the quality of martial arts education.

Organizations including UNESCO, ICSSPE, and scholars in the field (Webster, et al., 2014) often emphasize similar prerequisites when defining quality physical education. For instance, an active intervention of the school curriculum, an inclusive and interactive education from a qualified teacher, and raising active and healthy citizens through cultivation of self-confidence, communication skills and concentration skills.

Based on these common prerequisites, ICM Insight is sharing six writings on the requirement of martial arts educators, creation of a learner-centered environment, education based on the values of martial arts, and martial arts classes at school.

Five editorial advisors, experts on martial arts, physical education, and youth took part in the publication, and Bruno Avelar Rosa (Qantara Sports Partner) discusses three basis levels that structure the quality of educational process of martial arts education through an editorial.

ICM Insight is published in Korean and English once a year. It aims to deliver diverse contents under and yearly theme that is relevant to UNESCO. View here to read the whole content.
