Part.2 ICM’s footprints in 2023 Publication of ICM Periodicals (ICM News) ICM Periodicals Published online four times a year, ICM News shares the ICM’s latest activities, best practices in martial arts around the world, and expert columns with approximately 1,000 subscribers in and outside of Korea. This year, participants in ICM programmes were interviewed on their experiences and stories with martial arts instructors and participating youth in the field. Through ICM News, the ICM develops and spreads the social and educational significance of martial arts and strives to add more best practices for attaining the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through martial arts. While the camp was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the previous two years, this year’s edition was a five-day offline event in Chungju, Chungcheongbukdo and Seoul. Youth participants from eight countries took part in physical activity to learn new martial arts, team assignments, cultural exchange, and lectures on global issues to develop leadership qualities and raise intercultural understanding. The programme aimed to share the social and cultural significance of martial arts and initiate discussions on the potential roles of youths in resolving global problems.
