The 3rd Martial Arts Open School was held from 8 June until 16 August in Ghana, India, Thailand.

3RD MARTIAL ARTS OPEN SCHOOL PROJECT IN 2019
UNESCO ICM presented the 3rd Martial Arts Open School Projects held in India, Ghana and Thailand starting from 8 June ending at 16 August 2019. More than 400 people (Youth/Women) participated in various kind of martial arts classes. ICM operated both Taekwondo classes in Thailand and Ghana, and Taekkyeon Class in India as well as Capoeira Class in Accra, Ghana. Especially, Taekkyeon and Capoeira discipline are two of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity in order to increase social interests and support. This programme encouraged participation of youth and women in martial arts activities in both Africa and developing countries achievement of UNESCO’s Kazan Action Plan and UN SDGs to accomplish Quality education and Gender equality for health and well-being for youth and women by using martial arts.
