ICM has been contributing to implementing UNESCO?s Operational Strategy for Priority Africa and establishing global partnerships by expanding international exchanges with Sub-Saharan African countries. In the same way as the last conference was held, this year?s conference was conducted online with the theme of ?the Potential Role of ICM in Africa.? In this webinar, international speakers and participants enjoyed the dual benefits of preventing the spread of the virus and overcoming travel and distance limitations. Following lively discussions between experts from various sectors, the 2021 ICM-AFRICA Martial Arts Action Plan was developed as the key outcome of the conference. The action plan is expected to serve as a guiding star in implementing projects for African youth and woman empowerment building through martial arts. Moreover, it successfully broadened the base of African martial arts.
