UNESCO ICM(hereinafter referred to as 'Centre') signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with the Institute for Middle Eastern Studies(hereinafter referred to as 'Institute') at

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies(HUFS) on 1 Junes 2023. 

Based on the agreement, the Centre and the Institute will jointly conduct the 『2023 Martial Arts Research project』 , which explores information in-depth on the traditional martial arts and cultures of the Middle East region.

The Institue for Middle Eastern Studies has been contributed to foster positive relationships between the Republic of Korea and the Middle East regions since its establishment for the first time in Korea in 1976.
